Someone looking for information on “Abe Lincoln Bio” is most certainly just wanting some free information. Do you catch the secret there? You want to target those buying keywords.
2) Our next step once we have picked out buying keywords is to determine if indeed we can get our website to rank up high in the search engines for those terms. You need to realize right out the gates it will be almost impossible to actually rank for “car loans.” Too many other sites have a much bigger head start on you and catching up is too tough, trust me. But we can target what we call the “longtail.” A great long tail for car loans might be “car loans Indiana” or even “car loans Fishers, In” Can you see that there probably very few people targeting those exact phrases!
3) Now that we have a good longtail keyword, we still have to tell the search engines that our website is all about “car loans in Fishers, Indiana.” The was we will do that is to make that the actual title of our site, and we will also draw inbound links from other websites using that keyword. Always remember: he who has the most inbound links, wins! Inbound links tell the search engines that other sites see you as an authority for “car loans Fishers, IN” and thus they will send visitors to you.
4) Lastly, we need to make some cash. With this long tail keyword phrase, I can promise you that we won’t be getting 1000 visitors per day. We may only get 5 or 6, but if just 20% of them actually sign up for a car loan using our affiliate link, we have a winner and we are in the money! You just need to ensure that you can find an affiliate site for your particular long tail keyword. This should not be difficult.
Finally, I need you to slow down your thinking and reason a minute. What I have given you here is just the very very basic beginnings of making money online. I definitely don’t want you to go out and charge the gates of the internet with nothing more than your little website and a prayer.
